The Indian Cha vs. Chinese Ch’a Tea Box brings together two delicious and quite very different organic loose leaf tea from two of the largest producers of tea; India and China. The Organic Traditional North Indian Cha is not a chai but a Cha! It is drunk in many homes in North India but also in homes all round the world. This version of black loose leaf tea blended with organic cardamom, organic cloves and organic fennel is a firm favourite with us. It is a medium black tea with warm, subtle spicy undertones that are not too overpowering. You can add milk and sugar to taste. Delicious on a winter’s cold night. Equally delicious on a hot summer’s day. The Organic Chinese Ch’a or Pearly Gunpowder green loose leaf tea is Certified Organic. The leaves are rolled into the shape of little pinhead pellets resembling gunpowder, hence the name. It is just beautiful to watch each individual leaf as it unrolls or ‘explodes’ when steeped. The tea has a subtle, smooth taste with a hint of smokiness. This is a great alternative to black tea and can be drunk any time of the year. Definitely a precious pearl you can enjoy time and time again. Two wonderful teas from two very wonderful countries.
