Cardamom – a warm spicy, citrusy flavour that tastes similar to liquorice without being too strong. Blends well with Assam loose black tea or Gunpowder loose green tea and cloves.
Cloves – a strong and sweet flavour with a bitter after taste. It is a warm hot tasting spice. Blends well with Assam loose black tea or Gunpowder loose green tea and cardamom.
Cocoa nibs – smells of big mugs of hot chocolate. Blends well with Assam loose black tea or Rooibos redbush loose tea. When steeping tea blended with cocoa nibs you may want to add sugar or honey to taste.
Fennel – a strong warm spice with an anise taste. Blends well with Assam black tea or Gunpowder loose green tea. Also surprisingly well with Rooibos redbush loose tea.
Ginger – is hot, zesty yet sweet and warm in flavour with a slight woody yet aromatic taste. Blends well with Assam loose black tea or Gunpowder loose green tea. Also blends well with Rooibos redbush loose tea when combined with cardamom.
Lavender – has a distinctive floral, slightly sweet taste with hints of mint and rosemary. It is known to have a calming effect. Blends well with chamomile.
Peppermint – has a hint of vanilla with a cooling sensation as soon as it reaches your taste buds. Blends well with Gunpowder loose green tea or chamomile and spearmint.
Raspberry leaf – surprisingly this will add a subtle hint of smokiness to your tea. Blends well with Gunpowder loose green tea or chamomile and spearmint.
